Harper's Weekly Magazine

During the Civil War (1861-1865), Harper's Weekly was the premier magazine Americans turned to for information. Even today, it's still used to conduct research and to gain perspective on life in America during those difficult times.

DCS is in the process of converting Harper's Weekly into a digital image format which we will soon be offering online.

Eventually, we plan to include the complete textual contents of the magazine. This will allow our members to quickly search it and to find information on the battles and individuals involved in the Civil War.
